This was great! My family wanted to stop here for a long time... but we just never had enough time! I always get a country fried steak for breakfast & this did not disappoint! It's got that old school diner feel & I wish I could eat here evert morning! The staff was very nice & and hopefully, one day, I can have lunch here!

The Eagles Nest Cafe felt like home—the cooking, the conversation, even the seating at the big shared table. If you get the chance, please stop by. You won't regret it and you'll probably learn something, too.

I was looking for a local spot to stop for lunch on the way back from vacation and came across this little gem on Google Maps. I worked up quite an appetite, thinking about the breaded tenderloin sandwich, and it far surpassed my expectations. Places like this ALWAYS have the best food, and this is certainly the best tenderloin I've had that I can recall. Stop by if you're in Pershing State Park, it's just down the road! P.s. The tenderloins are comically large to the point that it feels like a novelty or a gimmick, and I am 100% here for it.

I was in town on business & needed a minute to make some phone calls. so I decided to check this place out because I thought it would be a quiet place to collect my thoughts & grab some lunch as well. we are all out in the middle of nowhere. don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE the country. miss it very much! I stepped in the front door & an entire table full of locals turned to look at me. it was an awesome feeling! like I just walked into a strangers living room unexpectedly all I could think to say was "Hi" ... Ms Alicia popped her head out & told me to sit where I like. it was an easy pickin only because it's not a very big place. they have a great menu. breakfast things to make your heart putter. looking over the menu my eye kept roaming back to their Grilled Ham Cheese sandwich. so.. I got their Grilled Ham Cheese sandwich w/tots and my companion got the Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, a biscuit & slices carrots. gotta tell ya... that was one of the best Grilled Ham Cheese sandwich and tots I've had in a long time! my partners meal was just as good. on my way out I complimented the cook. I had to give the atmosphere only 3 stars because it did lack what my partner & I consider just common courtesy around strangers in a business. but again, it did feel like I was sitting in amongst a family reunion lol but don't let that stop you from going to check out their food! lemme know what you think

I had an absolutely wonderful breakfast at Eagles Nest Cafe! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to start the day. I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple of small, well-behaved dogs running around the cafe; it added such a charming, homey, and pet-friendly vibe to the place that you don't find everywhere. It really made the environment feel like a community hub rather than just a standard restaurant. The breakfast itself was top-tier. Everything was cooked to order, fresh, and served in generous portions. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavors were spot on. The service was equally impressive—friendly, fast, and attentive without being intrusive. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this cafe is a hidden gem. Great food, a unique and friendly atmosphere, and excellent service. I will definitely be making this a regular stop whenever I'm in the area!

Oh my goodness great place to eat. Food is excellent. If the place is full may be a little to get your food but SO WORTH THE WAIT.

Food was great and so was the service. I live in Spring Hill Kansas and have a farm in Nauvoo Illinois. Have been by your place so many times and couldn't stop because we had dogs with us. Last trip just me and son in-law so no dogs so got to enjoy your food.

Stopped in for breakfast on the way to St. Louis. I ordered the Western Skillet. The meal doesn't come in a skillet, so that's deceiving. The meal got the job done nothing special or extraordinary. May or may not stop in again, but at least I can say I stopped once.
